Maryam is a queer Muslim activist, writer and speaker. They are passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion. Maryam is an experienced public speaker and workshop facilitator on a range of topics including race, culture, religion, LGBTQ+ communities, community engagement, social justice and activism. With a special blend of cheeky humour, honesty and vulnerability they fight hard for marginalised people championing dignity, human rights and liberation for all. 

In their role at Stonewall as Client Account Manager, they support a portfolio of clients (energy, utility, data and tech companies) with LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion and community-based work using research, best practice and their own knowledge and expertise. Previously, Maryam worked in a students’ union focusing on equality, diversity and inclusion and postgraduate student representation.
